Yet another ill-conceived New Labour reform has collapsed, leaving new junior doctors without interviews and the Government highly embarrassed. With yet another IT failure firmly in the bag, however, health secretary Patricia Hewitt was forced to apologise on Tuesday 3rd April - but despite this, and the clear evidence that the system has failed, she nevertheless insisted that there were no faults with the system.
